With its original specifications calling for it to have the performance of the Learjet 35, the handling of the Learjet 31A, and the most cabin space in it’s class, the Learjet 45 was introduced to the industry in 1992. One of the first models to be computer designed, the 45 is a mid size jet able to accommodate up to nine passengers, has a cruising speed of 444 kts, a range of 1850 nm, and a cabin that offers more pure, light-filled space than virtually any other in its class. Improving the initial design of the Learjet 45, the Learjet 45XR takes most of the features of its predecessor to the next level. Notable among these improvements are a redesigned interior (with improvements in functionality, lighting and overall comfort), a “double club” seating arrangement, an oval fuselage design that provides more seated, head and shoulder room and is powered by Honeywell TFE731-20BR engines that increase take-off weight by 1,000 pounds. Other features include a max range of 2,087n.m., accommodation for 4 passengers, a speed of 535 mph and can climb to at 51,000 feet.
